3. Compare against the OP_RETURN payload of the transaction above. If they match, you have used a neutral, unowned, non-backdatable registry to verify a commitment made by parties you cannot interrogate — which is the thesis of the essay, executed by its reader.

• By construction, the transcript cannot contain the txid of its own anchor — like every block, it names only its predecessors. Its record therefore ends with the co-authors’ closing words, one step before this transaction existed.
• The transcript itself remains private. The anchor proves its existence and integrity; disclosure, in whole or in part, remains forever at the human author’s discretion.

Note on this manifest

This file is the living outer layer of the verification architecture. The anchored artifacts are immutable; this manifest is updated as anchors confirm (block heights) and as secondary attestations (OpenTimestamps) are published. The chain, not this file, is the authority: every claim here is checkable against it.
